Revelations 14 and 15

The Savior will stand on Mount Zion (Missouri) with the 144,000 leaders who represent the 12 tribes of Israel. John sees angels who are prepared to reap judgment on the earth. Those who are evil will be destroyed and their misery after this life is depicted as being a torment that will last forever. He also sees angels ready to pour plagues upon the earth. One interesting note is that it says our works will follow us after this life. If we have lived righteously, only our righteous works will follow us because the atonement has taken care of those times when we have sinned. The wicked will have only their wicked acts follow them and their good acts will not be of any value or help to them. I believe that both the wicked and the righteous will be overwhelmed with the Savior's and God's love. This will cause the wicked to want to "shrink from his presence". But the righteous will stand in awe and sing praises to him because we will be so filled with love and gratitude. We all love a hero who can vanquish the bad people and make everything right. We long for justice, the right, and love to prevail. After this life, we will find out who our true hero has been all along.
